BVIS Hanoi Class of 2024 graduates with pride

At the ceremony, Mr Paul Holyome, Principal, congratulated all the students for their efforts in achieving excellent academic results in IGCSE and A-Level exams, as well as their contributions to school community and beyond.

Mr Paul shared, “Graduating is a pivotal moment in your life and one that should not be underestimated. Some of you have been studying and growing up from when the school opened its door! You have embraced the values that we stand for and have used these to guide your education throughout your journey at BVIS. I am confident that what you have learned here will stand you in good stead for the future. You have become true Global Citizens with a genuine Vietnamese Perspective.”

Every year, BVIS Hanoi presents the Academic Excellence awards to students who achieved outstanding academic performance throughout the school year. The Class of 2024 is a group of exceptional students, with 100% of all students completing the A-Level exams, achieving the highest results in IGCSE examinations, and receiving university offers from many prestigious universities in the globe, including those are in the Ivy League (USA), Russell Group (UK), SKY (South Korea), Group of Eight (Australia),...

The School also awarded the High School Diploma, accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, to students who completed this pathway.

Notably, the school presents the Principal’s Award to the most excellent and talented student, who embodies all the values the School wishes its students to exemplify in both academic and community responsibilities: Integrity, Respect, Caring, Enquiry, Reflection, Perseverance.

This year, the Principal’s Award was awarded to Minh Tu, a student of Class KS5-V.

Having studied at BVIS Hanoi for 11 years and grown up with the school from the beginning, Tu had made significant contributions to the BVIS community and achieved outstanding academic results. Tu was one of the Head Students, Head of Event Committees in student-led activities, Economics Subject Ambassador for two consecutive years, completed the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award, and was an active participant in the School’s activities.

Tu encouraged her fellow graduates to be courageous in facing new challenges in the next part of their lives. “Our years at BVIS have certainly been a wild ride, but as we turn the page today, we embark on the exciting next chapters of our lives, filled with endless possibilities and new adventures. You may not always feel prepared, but you can always choose to be brave. And with that courage, everything begins!”

Tu and her fellow graduates will continue to write their new chapters at some of the most prestigious universities in the world, such as University College London, Columbia University, Yonsei University, Seoul National University, King’s College, and more.
