We hope you are having a fantastic week! Read below for the latest Global Campus news and updates. There are LOTS of exciting updates this week!
UPDATES
SUMMER PERFORMING ARTS WITH JUILLIARD (PRI / SEC) - This summer, students from all over the world with a shared enthusiasm for the performing arts will join together in Switzerland to grow and develop their talents. Students will choose to focus for two weeks on music (instrumental or vocal), dance, or drama and share their learning in a final performance. For more information, contact Caroline McMahan at College du Leman - caroline.mcmahon@cdl.ch.
NORD ANGLIA OXFORD LEADERSHIP ACADEMY (SEC) - This summer, students aged 16-18 have the opportunity to spend two weeks at Balliol College, University of Oxford, to hone their debate and leadership skills. Students will also build their understanding of key global issues, develop their confidence and hone their leadership, collaboration, communication and persuasion skills. If you would like further information about the event or have any questions, Ben Horton will be happy to talk with you. He can be contacted at ben.horton@nordanglia.com.
VISUAL ARTS COMPETITION - Thank you to all of you who took part in this competition - we received nearly 500 entries from 22 of our schools which is fantastic! They are all now currently with our judge, Phillippa Walter, who is also the illustrator of our fabulous Mini Adventures map.
*NEW* GLOBAL CAMPUS NEWS - This week we will send you the first edition of Global Campus News, a digital newsletter for you that celebrates the fantastic ways in which you are engaging with Global Campus. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s inside:
GC OVER THE SUMMER (PRI / SEC) - This year we are going to be keeping the Global Campus open over the summer in response to your feedback, and there are a couple activities that will be available for your students to complete over the holidays.
PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION (PRI / SEC) - The photography competition is back by popular demand! More information will follow on Monday 23rd May on how you could be featured in the next NAE calendar. In the meantime if you have any exciting and engaging themes you can think of for these, please do get in contact.
PASSPORT SURVEY (PRI) - The Primary Passport survey is now live! Primary students can earn another stamp in their passport by completing the Primary Passport survey online, which you can access by clicking https://globalcampus.nae.school/login/index.php when logged in to the Global Campus Online. We look forward to your responses! You can also find the survey on the Primary Passport homepage.
WORLD LANGUAGES CHALLENGE ONE - The celebration area for the first challenge is now open. Well done to everybody that took part. We are so sorry for the delay on this celebration. Click https://globalcampus.nae.school/login/index.php for the Primary area, and https://globalcampus.nae.school/login/index.php for the Secondary, once logged in to the Global Campus Online.
WORLD LANGUAGES CHALLENGE TWO - GLOBAL NEWS REPORT. Thank you to everyone who has taken part. Entries are now with the judges (some of our very talented languages teachers across our schools), and the e-book and video will be available soon.
WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE GLOBAL THEATRE CHALLENGE - TEACHERS CHALLENGE - The teacher voting activity is still open, please go online and vote for your favourite performance!
PASSPORT AWARDS (PRI) – The Global Campus Student Leaders will be collecting in Passports on Friday 17th June to do the final count for the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum Award! Passports will be returned but stamps after this date cannot be included. Get collecting!
WEATHER REPORT (PRI) - A new passport activity is live on the Primary Geography area. It requires you to create a week long weather diary for the place you live. There is such a contrast in climate across our family of schools, so this is a nice little activity to share these differences and become more aware of how other students are living across the world.
Have a great week all. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any queries you may have, and keep in contact! We love to see and hear what you have been up to with the Global Campus.
Many thanks,
The Global Campus Team
