We are excited to announce that we have been honoured with three awards at the HoneyKids Singapore Education Awards 2024. These include a Gold Award in the Diversity and Inclusive Community category, a Gold Award in the Student Wellbeing category, and a Silver Award in the Curriculum (British) category.

These awards are a testament to our commitment to creating an inclusive and nurturing environment for all students. They have been granted based on evaluations from a panel of expert judges brought by HoneyKids, one of Singapore's largest parenting and lifestyle platforms.

Richard Dyer, Principal of Dover Court, said, “All of us at Dover Court International School are delighted and proud that we have been recognised with these awards. Inclusion lies at the very heart of all that we do, each and every day, and we know that wellbeing is the foundation for success. It is truly wonderful to receive independent recognition for our efforts and I’d like to pay tribute to every member of our community for the part they play.”

The Diversity and Inclusive Community Award reflects our commitment to inclusion. We aim to nurture every student’s potential within a dynamic learning environment, guided by our values of kindness, integrity, creativity, resilience, excellence, and diversity. Our personalised learning experiences are tailored to meet each student's unique needs, supporting their academic and personal growth.

"We are very proud to have won this award. As a school we value our wonderfully diverse community. Our focus on creating an inclusive environment, helps to build a strong sense of belonging where students feel safe and ready to learn. I would like to thank HoneyKids for recognising the importance that DCIS places in providing a welcoming school community for all of its students." said David Burren, Deputy Head of Inclusion at Dover Court.

The Curriculum Award (British) highlights our comprehensive curriculum modelled on the National Curriculum for England and adapted for our diverse international student body. In the Primary School, we implement the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), allowing students to explore key concepts such as identity, structures, humanity, and sustainability through engaging, hands-on experiences. For the Secondary School, we offer a flexible curriculum that enables students to choose qualifications aligned with their strengths and interests, incorporating British BTEC qualifications alongside the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in the Sixth Form.

The Student Wellbeing Award underscores our commitment to prioritising wellbeing as a foundation for academic success. We are dedicated to nurturing a strong sense of belonging among our students, ensuring they feel safe both physically and emotionally within our community. Our comprehensive wellbeing curriculum spans from the Early Years Foundation Stage to the Sixth Form, reflecting our holistic approach. We take pride in our exceptional team of learning support and specialist services, which significantly enhance the wellbeing of all our students.

We are proud to receive these recognitions and would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated staff for their commitment and passion in providing an outstanding education for every one of our students. We are also deeply thankful to our parents for their ongoing support and partnership in nurturing our vibrant school community. As we celebrate this achievement, we look forward to continuing our journey of excellence together!
