Trips and expeditions
A world of adventure awaits on carefully planned local, regional, and international expeditions that broaden perspectives and expose our students to different cultures, people, and ideas. From building clean water and sanitation systems in Borneo to hiking, climbing, and camping in the Swiss Alps, our trips develop important leadership qualities, build confidence and resilience, and instil an enduring love of discovery.

Sport and PE
Whatever your child’s passion, they’ll find an activity they love on our sport and physical activity programme. From swimming, athletics, and basketball to boxing, Futsal, and yoga, we offer a myriad of clubs that boost our students’ physical and mental health, and develop teamwork and communication skills. Our DCIS Wolves teams compete in local, national, and international leagues and tournaments, too.

Student leadership
Confidence-building leadership opportunities are incorporated into every student’s experience. Elected by their peers, our Student Councils, House captains, and student ambassadors shape our school environment and give others a voice. Your child will also lead the way on residential trips, community service projects, and through programmes like The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award.

STEAM
Our awe-inspiring STEAM programme opens our students’ eyes to the infinite possibilities of science, technology, engineering, arts and maths – as well as teaching them the skills they need to succeed in the 21st century. From using cutting-edge software at our ‘how to build a city’ and ‘design an escape room’ club to 3D printing and Lego robotics, we offer one-of-a-kind opportunities for our students to think critically, creatively, and solve problems.

Music
Every student has access to world-class music opportunities at Dover Court. Our instrumental programme will deepen and refine your child’s skills, as they enjoy weekly lessons in the piano, violin, guitar, and more. Students can also join our school orchestras, bands, and ensembles, while our co-curricular clubs – which include our ‘showtime singers’ acapella group and ‘music around the world’ programme – welcome children of all abilities.

Drama
Your child’s star will shine brightly, as they express their acting, production, and performance skills. Our students learn from specialist instructors and artists in our purpose-built Expressive Arts Centre, honing their craft at ‘junior actors’ and ‘drama for young thespians’ clubs. When it’s time to step into the spotlight, our annual school performance brings actors, set designers, and lighting experts together to put on a show.

Creative arts
Creativity and artistic expression blossom at Dover Court, thanks to a broad spectrum of opportunities that give every student the space, medium, and time to try new things and pursue passions. Your child can capture the wonders of our natural environment at our BioArt club, explore ancient art forms like Origami and Kirigami, and make sure nothing goes to waste at our junk modelling club.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQS)

  • Does the school provide university and careers guidance?
Yes, we have a dedicated Careers and University Guidance Counsellor who helps our students prepare for life after Dover Court. Your child will take part in career planning, CV writing, and interview skill sessions. They’ll also get help with their university applications, hear from higher education partners, and speak to our alumni and parents.
  • What after-school activities do you offer?

With more than 250 co-curricular activities to choose from, we offer one of the broadest enrichment programmes in Singapore.

Most activities are included in your child’s fees, although clubs delivered by external coaches or organisations – including music lessons, dance, and tennis – may cost extra. We vary the programme each term to make sure there’s an activity for every interest, skillset, and passion. This includes sports, music, arts, STEAM, leadership, and languages.

Our DCIS Wolves sports teams also compete in leagues and tournaments both here and across the region.

  • How do you communicate with parents?
We’ll keep in touch with you in a variety of ways. These include weekly newsletters, social media, emails, and our online platforms, Seesaw (early years and primary) and Satchel One’s Show My Homework app (secondary). Our teachers will update you on your child’s progress through parent-teacher conferences and regular reports.
  • How can I get involved in school life?

The Dover Court Parents Association (DCA) is a great way to get involved in our community and connect with other families – and we’re always looking for volunteers!

Through our Parents as Partners initiative, you’ll be able to join us for workshops covering topics like digital literacy, phonics, wellbeing, and more. We also offer a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year, including the chance to be a reading buddy.

  • Do you provide a school lunch?
Yes, we do! Our fantastic local catering partner, Mycelium, prepares a range of Asian, Western, and vegetarian options every day. Students can also purchase healthy snacks at the school canteen (primary) and Red Dot Restaurant (secondary).
  • Do you run a school bus service?
Singapore is an easy place to get around, and our families live all over the island. We work with a reliable bus provider that covers the main residential areas. Our city is also well-known for its extensive and efficient public transport system, which can be scheduled, monitored, and paid for using various smartphone apps.
