"I am happiest when I play." – Joe, Reception Student
At Dover Court, we believe that play is not just an activity but the heart of children's learning. Through play, children build confidence, learn to explore, relate to others, set their own goals, and solve problems. We encourage children to lead their own play adventures, fostering creativity, exploration, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
"You put water, then it becomes sticky. If I add more water, it will break down." – Luke, Nursery Student
"I see the wind because your hair is moving." – Andrew, Reception Student
Our curriculum is carefully divided into seven areas of learning and development, covering both prime and specific areas. From Communication and Language to Physical Development and Expressive Arts and Design, each aspect is designed to support the holistic growth of our young learners. We prioritise early interactions, physical development, and personal, social, and emotional growth while also fostering a love for literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and artistic expression.
An Environment that Inspires
“It’s growing longer and longer. You know, if you put a stick in water, it will grow.” – Kiaren, Nursery Student
"Roots make the tree balance so it doesn't go crash!" – Devansh, Reception Student
“It drinks water through its roots.” – Theo, Reception Student
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, we design our classrooms and outdoor spaces to foster meaningful encounters, creative explorations, and independent learning. Features like our atelier area for small and large loose-parts play and a sensory garden for observing nature, we encourage children to engage with their environment in thoughtful and innovative ways.
The Foundation for a Bright Future
“When I go to school, I feel excited, I think that it’s pink.” – Thomas, Reception Student
"Being kind makes me happy." – Amelia, Reception Student
Our aim is simple: to equip each of our Doverians to think independently, create their own paths, and be the best at what they choose to do. We believe that success begins with belonging. We work to build kind and nurturing relationships and make sure everyone in our community is respected and supported. We invite your child to join us on an exciting journey of learning and exploring at Dover Court.
