Beyond his professional achievements, Michael is deeply committed to giving back. He participates in the North Broward Preparatory School Alumni Mentorship Program, serves on the Florida State University College of Business Finance Professional Advocacy Board, and is passionate about advancing the careers of those on his team. His career goal is to be an example and mentor future generations. Michael shares that his most impactful mentor was his late father, Robert Freiburghouse.

Reflecting on his time at NBPS and this recent honor, Michael shares: “I am extremely honored to have been selected as a 2024 South Florida Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree. Although it is an individual recognition, it is far from that in my case. My success is a direct result of all those who poured their love, support, guidance, and mentorship into me, including the incredible faculty, staff, and coaches at NBPS, who identified potential in me even before I recognized it in myself. My time at NBPS served as a springboard for what was to come."

Michael’s advice to current and future NBPS students is simple but powerful: Think big and work hard. The only limits in life are the ones you set on yourself.

He acknowledges the importance of mentorship, both as a recipient and a mentor himself: “I believe I’ve participated in the Alumni Mentor Program every year since it began, and I keep in touch with several of my mentees. It’s a great program, and I look forward to participating again this year.”

Alumni President Matthew Custage echoes this sentiment, stating"Michael has been our number one mentor since the first year of the program. He consistently receives the best feedback from his mentees and is a huge asset to the program. We are incredibly proud of his achievements and continued support."
