    Our Lighthouse Point Academy offers specialized classes to students with mild specific learning differences.

    North Broward Prep has a STEM program that utilizes the STEAM model that incorporates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM).
  • Why is the STEAM program such an important part of your curriculum at North Broward Preparatory School?
    Our STEAM program gives students the tools to tackle real-world challenges and develop transferable skills such as flexibility, creativity, and strong communication. 

    In addition, our collaboration with MIT teaches students how to effectively work together, and our program fosters their critical thinking skills.
  • Are North Broward Preparatory School students accepted to top colleges and Ivy League universities?
    Yes, each year, North Broward Prep’s students are accepted to top colleges and universities in the US — and this includes Ivy League universities. For example, in 2021, some of our college acceptances included Brown University, Florida State University, Harvard College, Emory University, Princeton University, and the University of Florida.
  • When do students begin to work with a College Advisor?
    Our college advising philosophy is centered around helping our students find a great university that is the best fit for their goals. 

    Beginning in their freshman year of high school, our students work with a College Advisor to create a comprehensive, individualized program to help them identify and apply to colleges and universities that match their needs and aspirations.
  • Does North Broward Preparatory School have strong athletics programs?
    Yes, North Broward Prep’s athletics and sports programs compete in over 14 sports at multiple levels. 

    In addition, we take a holistic approach to wellness and give our students the tools and knowledge they need to make healthy, personal choices for a lifetime.
  • Does North Broward Preparatory School have athletic facilities?
    The Global Wellness Center — a state-of-the-art facility that includes ten academic classrooms, an athletic training center, dance / yoga studio, a new gymnasium, multi-purpose wellness rooms, and a weight training room — is not only a place for elite athletes. It has also been designed to host programs, guest speakers, and events that focus on physical and emotional health, mindfulness, and stress management in addition to cultivating a global mindset.
  • Does North Broward Preparatory School have a good Fine Arts program?

    Yes, North Broward Prep has an award-winning Fine Arts program. Our students and alumni have been recognized for their artistry both within our community and beyond, earning recognition from a multitude of local, state, and national arts organizations and acceptance into distinguished arts conservatories and colleges. 

    We are also particularly proud of our groundbreaking collaboration with The Juilliard School. The Juilliard-Nord Anglia Performing Arts Program, enriches our performing arts curriculum and students’ learning with the artistic values, traditions, and expertise of Juilliard. Juilliard curriculum specialists, teaching artists and performers visit NBPS regularly, inspiring our school community through workshops, masterclasses, and performances.

    Yes, our Lighthouse Point Academy supports students with learning differences. We recognize that each child learns differently and has their own unique strengths. 

    Students blossom in this program because of the very small class sizes and highly qualified staff who teach specifically to the student’s needs. Lighthouse Point Academy students learn to advocate for themselves and become confident learners, successful in college and beyond.
