During his high school career, he dominated the mound with a perfect 15-0 record and showcased his offensive prowess, hitting .355 with four home runs and 30 RBIs as a senior. Despite being picked in the 19th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates, Tejeda chose to play his first year of college ball at the University of Florida, continuing to impress with his exceptional talent and dedication to the game.

Miami Herald Silver Knight Class of 2024

A prestigious program recognizes high school seniors in Miami-Dade and Broward counties, who excel academically and contribute significantly to their schools and communities. Established in 1959 by John S. Knight, the program honors students in fifteen categories.
