The children definitely had fun at ‘shaking it’ and trying out their delicious milkshakes as the exit point. Throughout the project, the children learnt about the benefits of milk and where it comes from. They have also understood the benefits of having a balanced diet and that a little bit of everything is good for you, even chocolate! So in their milkshakes they not only had milk and fruit but some added chocolate, sprinkles and ice cream as a tiny bit of sugar is needed in our bodies. They also wrote a diet plan where they ensured that enough water was being drunk, protein, carbohydrate, fruit and vegetables were also included and some accommodated for people who were vegetarians, vegans or lactose intolerant. So they are now all qualified nutritionists!
