We are delighted to announce that Veronika H has been awarded second place in the Global Campus Competition for her wonderful story, "Special Glasses". This achievement is proof of her excellent writing skills and creativity, and we are incredibly proud of her.
The One Third Story Writing Competition was an opportunity for students across Nord Anglia Education schools to celebrate internationalism and multilingualism. With over 118 stories received from 42 schools, the competition was a huge success, and securing a runner up place is a tremendous achievement.
The stories were incredibly diverse, celebrating 27 different languages and sending a powerful message to our multilingual and international students that they are seen and valued. All entries were judged by volunteer NAE judges, and the six finalists were reviewed by celebrated children's author, Serena Patel, who chose the winner and runner up. Patel praised Veronika's story, saying:
"I liked the scene that was set and could imagine illustrations with lots of detail going on in the background to add to the story.”
The winners of each age category will have their stories illustrated and published on GC on Tuesday 14 April; we’re looking forward to seeing “Special Glasses” come to life with stunning illustrations!
Congratulations once again to Veronika!
