We are thrilled to share the fantastic news about PBIS students' achievements in this year's International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme! We are incredibly proud of their success, maintaining our tradition of academic success.
Special congratulations to Annika, who achieved the highest score in our graduating cohort with an impressive 42 points out of the maximum 45. This year, our cohort achieved an average subject score of 5.1 across twenty-five different subjects, compared to the global average of 4.7 points.
Mark Buckley, our IBDP Coordinator, shared his personal satisfaction, saying:
“We're always pleased to share success in statistics, but, what matters most are the individual pathways that have been opened by the hard work of the entire community: teachers, parents, and, of course, the students themselves!”
Our students have surpassed the global average of 30.3 IBDP points, achieving an average of almost 33 points. Departing to various corners of the world, the 2024 graduates will spread the PBIS legacy at universities such as The University of Washington, Arizona State University, King’s College London, The University of Edinburgh, Delft University of Technology, and many more.
Congratulations to all students and families for these incredible results. Your achievements are a testament to the dedication, support, and collaboration of our entire school community.
We look forward to seeing where your journeys take you next.
Come on, it’s not rocket science. For some people it is! A 2022 graduate from PBIS, Ilyes is currently working on his bachelor's degree with a focus on mechanical engineering, physics, and computer science at Sorbonne University in Paris. Apart from his academic work, he’s also working on a modest side project: developing a jet engine. His approach, in his own words, is to “learn as much as possible about everything” so he can apply his knowledge to real-world situations and make the world a smarter, better place.
Diving into the exciting world of coding, engineering, and problem-solving with robotics, one of our Extra-curricular club, led by our Computer Science Teacher, Paul Millington. Whether are our students new to robotics or already have some experience, our club offers a supportive space where students can unleash their creativity and develop valuable skills for the future.
