Péter: “First of all we had to record the audio and the café scenes. For this, we used my green screen which turned out to be pretty good most of the times. Sometimes, coordinating the whole process wasn’t that easy, because we worked in two separate groups and the other group didn’t work with the same equipment.
The hardest part about it was the editing. For this, I used Adobe Premiere Pro because although it sure is hard to use, you can do much more things with it than with editing using software like iMovie or MovieMaker. I had to first distinguish the useable scenes from the not so useable ones. After this, I had to adjust the Music, the Pictures and the Sound, which was quite a challenge after all because we had some problems with the sound quality and some problems we didn’t notice at the time. This was basically the hardest part of the whole procedure but there were more to come.
We had a few disagreements about some parts of the movie but after some time we finally agreed and everyone saw the product of our final agreement on 14th March. We had our issues but we cut through all of our problems as a team, and we made a good movie.”
Well, they still had to do the subtitles, so here are a few words from Ádám Vékasi, the creator of the English subtitles,“I found this task a little bit challenging because in the Hungarian language there are special words which only have a meaning in Hungarian. However, with a little bit of help, I could do my job.”
Now a few words from one of the actors, Olivér Dóczi:
Our film might have a few mistakes, but we were working hard on this project as a team and I think we reached the goal we wanted to achieve. We had some difficulties, like my scene for the café was unfortunately lost, so most of my parts couldn’t be viewed. I was still happy with the result, however, because it was not easy, but I think we made an interesting film after all.”
Their tuties and tutors very much liked the film and appreciated their effort. Well done, boys!
The final version of our film can be viewed here.
