Our early years learning framework
Our 3 to 5-year-olds follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. At this formative stage in their early years education, our teachers will guide your child through seven key areas of learning and development:
- Communication and language
- Physical development
- Personal, social, and emotional development
- Literacy
- Maths
- Understanding the world
- Expressive arts and design
Learning through play
At BISB, we encourage learning through active play. We know children learn best when they’re happy, engaged, and motivated, which is why we offer a wide range of opportunities that both fascinate and challenge.
In our safe and happy environment, our students play and develop their natural enquiry, creativity, and critical thinking skills. We make full use of our wonderful playgrounds, too, which are an extension of the classroom. Your child will immerse themselves in a variety of outdoor experiences that not only develop their movement and gross motor skills, but are also lots of fun.
Your involvement in our EYFS curriculum
As a parent, you can rest assured that your child will receive the highest quality early education at BISB. Our specialist staff will tailor how and what they learn to their unique needs and interests. They’re fully committed to making sure your child’s time with us is safe and happy, too.
We understand that you, as a parent, are your child’s first educator. We really value the partnerships we have with our families, which ensure each child gets the most from their learning experience.
