Outstanding results achieved by our IB students for the 2021/22 academic year!

We are proud to announce and celebrate our Class of 2022 achieving outstanding results in the International Baccalaureate Diploma, BTEC & High School Diploma programmes for the 2021/22 academic year. Our students have impressively continued to achieve a strong set of results. 

IB Performance Highlights
Our 2022 results showcase a number of impressive statistics for this cohort, both individually and collectively:

• Students achieved an exceptional 97% IBDP pass rate, once again exceeding the global average pass rate (89%).
• IBDP students achieved an average score of 35, surpassing the global average score of 33 points (2021).
• Two thirds of our IBDP students scored on or above the global average. 
• One student achieved top marks of 45 points in their IB Diploma this year – an achievement only 0.2% of all IB students worldwide accomplish.
• In addition one student attained a near perfect score of 44 points;  putting this student in the top 2% of all IBDP students globally.
• 20% of students achieved 40 points or more, a result achieved by just 9% of IBDP graduates worldwide. This level of attainment provides our students with the opportunity to gain admission into elite universities across the globe and, along with our outstanding overall pass rate, demonstrates how BIS Houston supports every student in achieving exceptional academic results.
• 2 of our students obtained a bilingual diploma, which requires literature qualifications in two languages and acquisition of an additional language, giving them a significant advantage when choosing universities and entering employment around the world.

We have long been proud of our students for consistently scoring considerably higher than the IB global average year over year. Recognized in more than 100 counties worldwide, the IB programme is one of the most highly-regarded international curricula, well known for its breadth and academic rigor, which nurtures a global outlook and prepares students for success at university and in their future working lives.
 
This year's results continue to see our graduates attend their first choice universities. Our students consistently receive multiple offers from prestigious academic institutions and top universities in the US and around the world, and this year is no exception, including Oxford University, King's College London, Boston University, New York University, Texas A&M and Rice University, to name but a few.  Our Class of 2022 also received over $2million in scholarships!

In addition, we received another fantastic set of results for our BTEC & High School Diploma students:

• All BTEC students achieved 100% pass rate with Distinction Stars.
• All High School Diploma students achieved a 100% pass rate with Honors.
• Our students are using these amazing achievements to attend universities including Savannah School of Art & Design (SCAD), Nottingham Trent University and Leeds Trinity University, University of Texas. 

We are honored to congratulate our Class of 2022 on their outstanding achievements. These achievements are also a testament to the dedication, creativity and inspiration of our talented teachers who continue to ensure our students excel in their learning.
