At the British International School of Houston, we understand the classroom is not the only place where learning can occur. Learning beyond the classroom is a crucial element of education. This is why every year, students of all ages have opportunities to go on exciting educational trips. Trips help to bring learning alive and provide students with a practical perspective on what they've explored in the classroom.
Many trips and visits are organised as part of the curriculum. These can include trips to complete fieldwork for geography and science in and around the city, visits to zoos and museums, and guided tours of ice cream and chocolate factories.
Situated in Houston, Texas, our school has no shortage of fun, educational, and cultural destinations for day trips. Field trips involving one or more nights away are also organised for students who are eight years old and older.
Student safety is our first priority. Whether students go on a school trip for a few hours or a week-long residential, full risk assessments are conducted prior to the visit taking place.
All Secondary students have the opportunity to participate in an end-of-year trip to locations throughout the United States and beyond.
Recent trips have been to:

- New York
