Celebrating IGCSE Excellence

After 75 hours of exams, spanning over 37 days and featuring 45 different papers, we are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students on their outstanding IGCSE’s results. We are proud to recognize and honor the hard work, dedication, and academic excellence of our learners who have demonstrated exceptional performance in their Pearson Edexcel exams.

Each year, Pearson Edexcel presents the Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards (OPLAs) to students who achieve the highest marks in their respective subjects—whether in their country, region, or globally. We are excited to announce that several of our students from BIS Houston have been awarded this prestigious recognition for their remarkable results in the 2023/2024 examination series.

These students join a select group of over 2,200 learners from 750 schools across 82 countries who are eligible for the award. They stood out from thousands of candidates who sat Pearson Edexcel exams in the 2023/2024 cycle. It is a testament to their exceptional abilities, perseverance, and the outstanding support from our world class teachers.

• Sergio – Highest Mark in the Americas, Pearson Edexcel International GCSE Biology
• Sergio – Highest Mark in the United States of America, Pearson Edexcel International GCSE Chemistry
• Sergio – Highest Mark in the Americas, Pearson Edexcel International GCSE Physics
• Stella – Highest Mark in the United States of America, Pearson Edexcel International GCSE French

Each of these outstanding students was presented with an Outstanding Pearson Learner Award certificate from Pearson in recognition of their exceptional academic achievements.

This is not only a celebration of individual success but also a reflection of the dedication and commitment of our teaching staff, who are dedicated in supporting our students in reaching their full potential.
