Enhancing education with the Performing Arts Being a part of Nord Anglia Education has allowed the MET a unique opportunity to collaborate with the world's leader in performing arts education: The Juilliard School.

Being a part of Nord Anglia Education has allowed the MET a unique opportunity to collaborate with the world's leader in performing arts education: The Juilliard School. We believe that Juilliard’s world-class education in all three core performing arts - music, drama, and dance -  will give our students first-class learning experiences.

In many findings, researchers are linking the study of performing arts to better child development and higher academic achievement. Learning the performing arts have wide-reaching benefits for children, providing them with the tools to think creatively, innovate, and appreciate diverse cultures and backgrounds. Through the arts, children learn creativity, collaboration, and confidence - transferable skills applicable to any subject. Committed to forming well-rounded individuals that can tackle any challenge coming their way, we aim to continue growing our performing arts program.

Being a part of Nord Anglia Education has allowed the MET a unique opportunity to collaborate with the world's leader in performing arts education: The Juilliard School. Juilliard’s mission is to provide the highest caliber of artistic education for gifted musicians, dancers and actors from around the world. We believe that Juilliard’s world-class education in all three core performing arts - music, drama, and dance -  will give our students first-class learning experiences.

The Juilliard program for NAE schools is made up of 4 components:

  • Professional development opportunities for teachers
  • Resources to enhance the performing arts curriculum via access to Juilliard Creative Classroom
  • Visits and inspirational performances from Juilliard artists and curriculum specialists
  • Summer Performing Arts with Juilliard

In the next months, four MET teachers will be attending The Juilliard School for in-person training sessions along with NAE teachers from around the world:

  • César Castillo - Music
  • Juana Ramos Pino - Music
  • Odette Versailles - Drama
  • Génesis Padilla - Dance

These workshops will be led by Juilliard curriculum specialists at the campus in New York City. This training seeks to ensure that the level of teaching performing arts at NAE schools around the world remains at the highest standard, energizing and encouraging your child to develop and pursue a love for the performing arts.
