Serving as the Top IB World School in Panama
Studying at an IB World School provides a special opportunity for students who want to earn a spot at their first-choice university anywhere in the world in the future, and we’re very proud to be the only school to offer the internationally recognized IB Continuum, in English, in Panama. An education following the IB curriculum prepares students for their future as a global citizen and challenges them through an extensive course designed to further their knowledge in core subjects, specialty areas, and significant life skills.
IB students gain the necessary skills to excel in higher education, and more generally, in their lifetime. The three programs that make up the IB continuum strive to develop well-rounded students who have excellent breadth and depth of knowledge — students who flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally, and ethically.
The IB continuum is composed of three programs across age groups:
- The Primary Years Programme (PYP) for Early Childhood and Elementary students aged 3–11.
- The Middle Years Programme (MYP) for Middle School and lower High School students aged 11–16, preparing them for and leading to the two-year Diploma Programme.
- The Diploma Programme (DP) for upper High School students (aged 16–18), preparing them to culminate their high school studies at the same level as college or university academics.

What’s the International Baccalaureate Programme?
The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a passport to the world, encouraging students to be internationally minded by exploring global perspectives, universal human values, and cultural awareness. Through the development of traits and attitudes essential to learning, IB students can successfully engage with many different people in an increasingly globalized and rapidly changing world.
The IB’s three programs incorporate the best research and practices from a range of national and international educational models. The IB provides students with a relevant and engaging curriculum framework that is used across IB schools worldwide.
Research shows that Primary Years and Middle Years students outperform students from other programs, and that Diploma students are favored for admissions in some of the highest-ranking colleges and universities around the world.
