Students at the Metropolitan School held a year end concert to promote a message of peace, love, friendship, hope and solidarity with people from around the world.

Singing Around the World

The concert began with the MET's youngest students in Kinder and lower Elementary, along with the primary school's choir in direction of their teacher Juana Ramos Pino. They closed the year with a celebration of what they have learned, shared and grown, thanks to the integral education they receive from their teachers at the MET in collaboration with their parents' interest in equipping them with the knowledge, habits and values that will not only equip them to be successful in life, but open themselves to building a sustainable world.

In this first part of the concert, the students performed children's songs from around the world, showcasing the school's multicultural community and extend a warm embrace to people from different parts of the world facing hardships this year like Mexico and Puerto Rico.

Tribute to Musicals

The second part of the concert was lead by students in 3rd through 6th grade under the direction of their music teacher César Castillo and their drama teachers Leonte Bordanea and Odette Versailles. In this second portion, they performed classics from famous musicals throughout the years like "Annie", "Peter Pan" and "Matilda" as well as more recent musicals like "Hamilton".

This concert was a part of the several opportunities MET students have throughout the year to not only celebrate their learning, but showcase the different attributes and values that makes up their community: being part of initiatives that promote the balanced development of people, nurturing culture as a treasure, and the importance of taking care of our environments, and building a better world for our future generations.
