We are very proud that our students maintained the 100 per cent pass rate since we had our first graduate cohort back in 2016. Our average IBDP score has always been at least 10% higher than the global average. For the past three years, our average score has increased from 37.07 to 38.2. I am delighted with our students who have put extraordinary efforts into their work and thankful to our parents and colleagues who have supported our students throughout this process.
Tom Ferguson
Principal of Léman

Design class in the MYP is an essential subject group because it prepares our students for the important skills of the 21st century. Léman has moved to a Digital Design class this year where students are able to develop their understanding of computer applications. They will learn about creating exciting apps and preparing for the opportunity to take DP Computer Science in the Diploma Programme if they wish.

Moreover, students can use the designs digitally to create something physically. This is especially useful in jobs like architecture and engineering where ideas come to light on the computer and then come to fruition in the real world. In the first classes of Digital Design, students did just this. They found and created an emoji online and then created it using LEGOs.

Design class is especially critical for our students to problem solve and find real world solutions using the design cycle of inquiry, planning, creating and reflecting. Along with our STEAM program, headed by Mr. James Drake, and our wonderful collaboration with MIT, Léman is helping students prepare for the real world by giving them the skills they need for success.
