Simon Head Message
Week 7, Term 1, 2024/2025
As we approach the end of our first half-term, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on what a fantastic start we’ve had to the school year. It has been heartwarming to see how quickly the children have settled into their new routines. From our youngest learners in Pre-Nursery to our Year 6 leaders, each child has embraced the learning opportunities with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. It’s a testament to their resilience and the support you provide at home.

This term, we have introduced exciting new learning initiatives that have captured the children’s interest. From engaging lessons in literacy and numeracy to innovative approaches in STEAM and the arts, it has been wonderful to witness the children actively participating and collaborating with one another. The sense of community and teamwork among the students is truly inspiring.

Looking ahead, we have an exciting second half of the term filled with activities and celebrations that I know the children will love. Here are some highlights to look forward to:

  • Primary Idol Final: Our talented performers will take the stage, showcasing their skills and creativity. It promises to be an afternoon full of fun and entertainment!
  • Halloween Celebrations: Get ready for some spooky fun! We will be hosting various activities where the children can dress up and participate in some spooky stories.
  • Deepavali Celebrations: We will be celebrating the Festival of Lights with special activities that promote understanding and appreciation of this vibrant cultural event.
  • BSKL Pink Day: This much-loved event is an opportunity for our school community to come together in support of breast cancer awareness. We encourage everyone to wear pink and participate in our fundraising activities.
  • Christmas Bazaar: Our famous Christmas Bazaar will return, filled with festive cheer, crafts, and plenty of opportunities for holiday shopping. It’s a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season!

As we move into this exciting next half-term, I encourage you to continue supporting your children’s learning at home. Reading together, discussing their school day, and encouraging them to share what they’ve learned can make a significant difference in their educational journey.

I hope everyone enjoys a well-deserved break and takes some time to relax and recharge. I look forward to welcoming everyone back on 14th October, refreshed and ready for the many adventures that await us!

Best wishes,
