The Resilience Run, held on Friday, June 21st, from 7 PM to 7 AM, was a true test of endurance and spirit for the 98 participating staff and students. This extraordinary event saw 18 teams coming together to push their limits in a lively and supportive atmosphere, and fundraise for Teach for Malaysia. Teams were challenged with coming up with their own race strategy, to ensure that at least one person from each team was on the astro at all times, or face being disqualified. From the start, the energy was palpable as each participant prepared to face the gruelling challenge ahead.
A highlight of the event was the immense support from a dedicated team of student volunteers: Alice, Zimo, Matthew B, Tasnim, Manuella, Vitoria and Georgina, whose efforts were crucial in ensuring the smooth running of the event. Their hard work and enthusiasm contributed significantly to the vibrant environment that spurred the runners on. A huge thank you also goes to Lana, Kokoro and Shumala, who helped with planning and organisation prior to the event.

The run was divided into two segments: a 4-hour run and a 12-hour run, each presenting unique challenges. In the 4-hour run, Hao Ping from Year 12 emerged victorious, completing 80 laps with remarkable determination. The 12-hour run saw a phenomenal performance from Wellington Karl Wai from Year 10, who impressively ran 265 laps, showcasing incredible stamina and resilience.

The Resilience Run was not just a race but a celebration of perseverance and community spirit, leaving participants and supporters alike with lasting memories. Additionally, the event was a remarkable success in raising 2,500 MYR for Teach for Malaysia, further highlighting the collective effort and generosity of everyone involved.
