BSB Business students won Bronze at ASDAN Regional Round 2023

Congratulations to the British School of Beijing (BSB), Shunyi Business students who won the Bronze award in the ASDAN Business Simulation - Regional Round last weekend! They will successfully compete in the National Final in August 2024.

BSB Shunyi Team:

• Year 12: Hanna Cheng
• Year 11: Ayisa Yao, Freya Teo, Lavinia Chiamenti and Lily Kim.

Besides Bronze award, they also received the Best Poster Award, Business Excellence Award (business presentation), Business Battle Award (business auction), and All-Star Team Award.

After we reopened the Business subject one year ago, this was the first time BSB students joined this kind of Business competition, and they have made remarkable progress. They were given operational challenges, filled with formulas to calculate risk and decisions regarding staffing, cost, and investment. They must also assess the likely consequences of their investment on market standing and predict profit. Moreover, they conducted their business presentations with Marketing and HR strategies to represent how these business decisions are working towards sustainable business development.

ASADN is a British-based education provider famous for organising Economics, business, and finance competitions worldwide. ASDAN helps students develop their financial, business skills and entrepreneurial mindset. It aims to instill a sense of social responsibility in the young participants. ASDAN hopes to ingrain the concept of sustainability in our future entrepreneurs while solving real-life problems with their business concepts.
