OUR BRITISH EYFS CURRICULUM

At our Early Years pre-school in Shunyi District, Beijing, our youngest learners follow the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Delivered by vastly experienced and caring teachers, our EYFS – which is part of the English National Curriculum – sets the standard for the learning, development, and care of children up to the age of five.  

Our Early Years and pre-school specialists ensure our young learners are happy and supported through every stage of their formative education. They’ll provide the personalised care and attention your child needs to grow and thrive, nurturing their skills and personalities, building their confidence, and helping them to form bonds with peers and staff. 

Our approach lays firm foundations for future success. To achieve world-class results in their IGCSEs and IB Diploma, it’s essential we instil a love of learning, monitor personal, social, physical, and academic progression, and inspire our children to be curious, creative, and confident.

THE BRITISH EYFS CURRICULUM AREAS OF DEVELOPMENT

Our Early Years children learn by playing and exploring, being active, and using creative and critical thinking. At our British EYFS curriculum school in Shunyi District, Beijing, every experience is purposeful, engaging, and fun. 

To focus their progress, our highly trained teachers engage them in activities shaped by the seven EYFS areas of learning and development. Our aim is to set our learners up for future success by nurturing a strong sense of self and ensuring they feel positive about their abilities.

EXPLORING AND PLAYING THROUGH THE BRITISH EYFS CURRICULUM

We build downtime into our youngest learners’ daily routine so that they can recharge between lessons. Our Early Years international pre-school children enjoy exploring our open play areas, which are specifically designed to create fun and immersive experiences. 

Purpose-built spaces, both inside and outdoors, give our children the freedom to grow independently. These include a cycle track, dedicated playgrounds, climbing areas, and more. As they develop confidence in their surroundings, they can use other facilities within the school, including our library, music rooms, sports hall, and dedicated Early Years swimming pool.
