We were delighted to host a virtual workshop at school recently. The sessions was live streamed from New York and was in collaboration with Juilliard (led by Hillary Easton - Dance Specialist) and our very own Head of Performing Arts, Ms. Borisavljevic.
โWhat a fantastic start to the week! On Monday we welcomed our first dance specialist visit, live streamed from New York and the Juilliard dance studio. Both Year 6 classes enjoyed learning how to use basic tap dance steps to develop inventive rhythms and tones as well as performing a Juilliard Flash Mob Dance to Hilary Easton who choreographed the same in 2018. We participated in Q&A session at the end of this lesson and heard a lot about Hilaryโs passion about dance and styles she teaches and creates.โ - Ms. Borisavljevic.

Storytelling is at the heart of everything we do, and it extends far beyond literacy. It is transdisciplinary, meaning children naturally integrate their knowledge of phonics into storytelling, create maths stories, and weave in elements of science, curiosity, and their understanding of the world.
This term, Year 2 have been learning about many interesting people in our ‘What makes someone inspirational?' Topic. They have explored space pioneers, technology forerunners, civil right activists, inventors and many other inspiring individuals.
