Neurodiversity Week 2025

1

Dear Families,

We are excited to invite you to participate in our upcoming Neurodiversity Week from March 31st to April 4th. This event is dedicated to celebrating neurodiversity, breaking down stigma, and promoting understanding within our school community. We want to create a space where everyone feels valued, seen, and heard.

As part of this initiative, we are inviting parents and families—especially those who consider themselves neurodiverse (for example, individuals on the Autism Spectrum or those with conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Tourette Syndrome, or other neurodivergent conditions)—to come forward and share their stories, insights and experiences as we strongly believe that the most meaningful impact comes from the stories shared within our own community. By sharing your challenges and successes, you will help break down stigma, normalize neurodiversity, challenge misconceptions, and provide inspiring role models for our students.

We welcome your participation in various activities throughout the week, including:

  • Panel Discussions and Q&A Sessions: Share your personal journey and experiences with neurodiversity. Lead or participate in discussions that help break down barriers and open conversations about neurodiversity.
  • Interactive Activities: Engage with students and staff through hands-on experiences that help foster understanding.
  • If you prefer to remain anonymous to students, you may collaborate with the Student Support Department and contribute to the preparation of activities and content.

If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please contact

Anna Somlai- Head of Student Support at anna.somlai@bisb.hu by Friday March 14th.

Your voice and presence can have a powerful impact on the students, showing them that neurodiversity is not just accepted, but celebrated.

We are looking forward to having you join us at this important and inspiring event!

Warm regards,

Student Support - Inclusion Team
