World Children's Day
World Children’s Day is UNICEF’s annual day of action for children, by children. The 20th of November marks the publishing and adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, also known as the UNCRC. At BISB, we are dedicated to teach children about their rights and the UNCRC. This also links in with our mission to achieve the Gold level of the Social Impact Distinction early next year. We will celebrate World Children's Day with lots of different activities in school throughout next week, and we will also have a 'dress up in blue' day on Wednesday to raise awareness to children's rights. On Tuesday 12th November, our Year 11 IGCSE Performing Arts students provided an evening of performances.
At BISB, we recently hosted our Year 13 CAS Project Exhibition from October 28th to 31st.
Last Friday, 8th November, a choir group of 11 school students from Georgia visited BISB to perform for our Year 5 & 6 children. The Georgian Ambassador also attended this event.
