International Week
We’d like to take a moment to look back on the week before the break, which, following our tradition, was celebrated as International Week. The goal of this week is to help children explore the diverse cultures, customs, and flavors from around the world. We are proud that our school is home to many cultures, and it is always a joy to get to know them better. Throughout the week, we focus on a different country each day, allowing children to expand their knowledge of various nationalities’ lifestyles and cuisines in a playful and interactive way.
It is especially rewarding for us that parents actively participate by preparing and bringing in authentic dishes from their own cultures, providing children with a direct experience of each nation’s unique flavors. Tasting this variety of foods not only enriches the students’ palates but also expands their knowledge, as parents share stories that accompany each dish—introducing the children to new perspectives, traditions, and tastes.
Our school kitchen also joins in this program every year: each day of the week, they prepare traditional dishes from a selected country, so that children can experience a culinary world tour even during lunchtime. This year, we served Italian, French, American, and Indian specialties for our students.
The entire week is a unique opportunity for students not only to learn about different cultures but to taste them as well, enriching their experiences and understanding of international diversity.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all participating parents for their support and enthusiasm, which contribute so much to the success of this special program.
