On Tuesday, Year 2 visited the Botanical Garden and Orczy Park as part of our Flowers and Insects topic. Whilst at the Botanical Garden we saw lots of different types of plants, flowers and insects. We completed observational drawings and took photographs for our upcoming English and Art lessons. Then we walked to the park where we had a picnic and played. The House team of BISB would like to notify you about a wonderful opportunity to contribute to a Holiday Present Drive, which gives used toys, books in mint or great condition and sweets to Hungarian Romani children between the ages of 0 and 12 who come from very low-income households, and otherwise wouldn’t receive presents for Christmas.
This half-term in English, Year 8 are working on writing and designing their own magazines. They have studied the language, structure, layout and presentation conventions of a range of article types and are now putting their learning into action in their own creations.
