This week, the SISU held a fair to showcase the Social Impact work they have been doing so far this year.

This work has included:

  • Campaigning and fundraising for children’s rights
  • Sourcing and providing refills of cleaning products to reduce plastic waste
  • Debating global issues
  • Fighting fast fashion
  • Investigating and reporting on issues like the impact of the second-hand car industry on the development of a circular economy
  • COP26 and the sustainability of the Olympic Games
  • Sharing Tanzanian recipes and culture in support of Seeway
  • Encouraging discussion of social issues related to equality, diversity and inclusivity
  • Media reporting and marketing of all of the above

It’s been a busy first term! Thanks to the UNICEF Ambassadors and SISU Representatives for organising and running a successful event, and to all those who supported it.

Here is a quick teaser trailer for the full Term 1 Social Impact Highlight video that will be released later this half-term, made by Annamaria and Karolin in Year 10.
