Secondary School Production: Journey’s End

This year BISB is proud to present a production of R.C Sherriff’s World War I play, Journey’s End. Two performances will be held on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th of December 2021 in the school theatre. Ticketing information will be announced later, but please make a note of those dates for your diary.

This week has involved the search for the acting stars of the play. Congratulations to the following students who have successfully auditioned for a part:

Bruno Barath will play damaged battle veteran Commanding Officer Stanhope, who is conflicted by the arrival of a naïve school friend Raleigh, to be played by Emily Prest

Muhammed Muhammed Anwar will play Mason, who looks after the officers in the trenches and adds a touch of sardonic humour to the Officer’s mess.

Mira Bulyovszky will have the challenge of playing two characters, Hardy and the Sergeant Major.

Rebecca Majosi will play Officer Osborne, who is affectionately known as “Uncle” to the men.

Benedek Deak will bring the character of Trotter to life and will spend a lot of timing eating.

Balint Tapai will play the highest-ranking officer in the Colonel, who decides the fate of all of the men.

Anya Khelifi Coates will play Tibbet, who would rather not be in the trenches at all.

And finally, Flora Zsoldos becomes German to portray a captured enemy soldier.

Break a leg everyone!
