At The British International School Budapest, students achieve more than they believe possible. We know that there is no limit to what our students can achieve socially, personally and academically. This year, our students’ academic results reflect our shared commitment to all-round excellence.
Our entire school community is proud to announce that our graduating students achieved exceptional results in this year’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
Our Class of 2021 achieved a pass rate of 100%, with an average points score of 36.2. This is 3.2 points higher than the IB global average of 33 points, widening the gap between the school and other IB schools around the world. Over 27% of our students scored 40 points or higher, scores that are typically required to be considered for admission to the world's elite universities, such as Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard and Stanford.
Two students achieved the maximum 45 points, something achieved by less than 0.5% of students worldwide. These results demonstrate the difference that Nord Anglia Education schools bring to students’ academic results.
Mr Richard Dyer, Principal, is delighted. He says:
As a group, Nord Anglia Education scores climbed in every one of our IB schools, with an average score of 36.2 for the year. This marks our eighth straight year of beating the global average, which was 33 points, and is also a significant improvement on our average score of 34.4 last year. Nord Anglia’s schools have 1,300 students sitting the IB Diploma, which is the highest for any schools group in the world, and this year we achieved a record pass rate of 98% compared to the global average of 89%.
Huge congratulations to all our Class of 2021 for a job well done!
