Outstanding Academic Results

Congratulations to our Year 11 and Year 13 students from the Class of 2019 on their exceptional examination results. 

Over 50% of the grades awarded to our Year 11 students in their GCSEs and IGCSEs were at the top grades of  A or A* (or equivalent). This compares very favourably with the national figure of 20% in the England. An impressive 25% of students were awarded 8 or more A/A* grades and 93% achieved 5 or more good grades at A*-C. 

The results from our graduating Year 13 students were equally impressive, with 36% of students scoring at least 36 points (out of 45) in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Only 24 points are needed to be awarded a full Diploma, something achieved by 98% of our graduates. All students take the Diploma in English and study a foreign language. An impressive 48% of students were awarded the demanding bilingual diploma, having studied literature in English and one other language. A quarter of students achieved 38 points or more, sufficient for entry to the most challenging courses at the best universities. 14% scored 40 points or more, with two students scoring an exceptional 44 points. We congratulate Kavya Frances who has been accepted to study medicine at The University of London and Emma Farkas who has been accepted to study law at The University of Cambridge.

The dedication of our experienced teachers and the discipline, hard work and ambition of our students have resulted in some very well-deserved results. We can look forward to our alumni succeeding in university and making a positive impact on the world.”

Our students have successfully secured entry into range of universities across Europe and beyond. Our Year 13 graduates are going onto study across a range of courses including:  Mechanical Engineering, Medicine, Mathematics, Music, Business, Politics, Film, Electronic Engineering, Economics, Biosciences, Veterinary Medicine, Architecture, Hospitality, Marketing and Digital Communication.  

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, commonly referred to as the IBDP, is a two-year education programme for students of ages 16-19. The IB Diploma is recognised and accepted by universities around the world as an appropriate preparation for a degree course. The Full Diploma is awarded to students who score 24 points or more out of a maximum of 45 points. Each student studies six subjects and can achieve up to a maximum of 7 points in each subject. Up to three points are awarded for achievement in the Core, which comprises three elements: (i) Extended Essay; (ii) Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS); and (iii) Theory of Knowledge.
