The conclusion of our week long celebration of the Humanities saw a raft of winners from our range of challenges and events.

Discovery House's Year 10 members were crowned the overall champions of our daily trade game where an implausible series of events, changes, decisions and deals saw market prices of commodities vary wildly. The savviest/luckiest traders proved to be Discovery House's Year 10 members who claimed the Humanities Cup for 2018!

Julian Luczywo was crowned our resident quiz master with the best submissions for our daily quiz challenges. Should anyone in our school community want to know more about business logos from different countries or time periods, then please get in touch with Julian!

Daniel Papp prevailed in our 'Winner Stays On' word association tournament showing a diverse and agile mind when asked to consider world leaders, artisan and non-artisan goods, international companies and many more topics. Special credit to Nondas Tosounis for absolutely endless 'knowledge' on 'things that can be traded'.

Nils Noordhuis, Vince Kertész and Mireia Carrio showed the quickest consideration of which demographics and geometrics were 'Higher or Lower'.

Our Speakers' Corner saw Nondas Tosounis, Marcell Lehoczky, Liza Baranyi, Fraser Payn, Rowena Kosmac-Okwir and Yuqing He give powerful speeches asking will we, can we and should we end global poverty? Our standout speaker was Hannah Aref who drew huge applause for her insightful speaking. You can watch the Facebook livestream of the event here.

Special thanks again go to Mr Richard Jonap of Concorde Securities who gave a captivating lecture on the fundamentals of global markets.

Congratulations to all of our students for getting involved in this fantastic week. The winners are:
