In the week following half term – 26th February to 2nd March– the English department will be holding a number of events to celebrate literature as well as recent projects that Secondary students have been involved in.
In the week following half term – 26th February to 2nd March– the English department will be holding a number of events to celebrate literature as well as recent projects that Secondary students have been involved in.
Highlights include workshops with celebrated poet, Helen Wing, who is flying in from Beirut for the week, our second Boscars Film Awards ceremony to be held on Thursday, and a Poetry Showcase for the Friday. Additionally, Secondary students will be invited to dress up as a literary character on Thursday 1st March to celebrate World Book Day. Please start thinking of costumes.
Activities for registration, as well as lots of fun events in the Atrium at lunchtime are sure to make this a great week.

Following the postponement of Journey’s End before Christmas, we are pleased to announce the new dates.
Year 9 have been showing their green fingers/thumbs by trying to germinate cress seeds under various conditions, to see what is important for the seed growth.
There was more basketball on Saturday. This time our U14 Girls A and B teams had their DVAC Festival here at BISB.
