Here at the British International School, Budapest we are delighted to announce that we are offering two fully funded scholarship places for the academic year 2016 – 2017. This is for outstanding Hungarian students, with an excellent command of spoken and written English to follow the two-year International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, which is recognised by prestigious universities worldwide; it is an opportunity for two students aged 16-19 to access an opportunity that they would not, otherwise, be afforded as it is worth over 30,000 Euros.
The successful applicants will meet the following conditions:
· a high level of fluency in English
· an outstanding academic record
· demonstrable personal qualities and attributes encompassed in the IB Learner Profile
Students will also have an inquisitive mind, the ability to think critically and creatively, to communicate clearly and with confidence, to be open-minded, to act with integrity and to be prepared to take action to improve the lives of members of school and the wider community.
The place will be offered as a result of a competitive process. Interested students should apply to Mrs. Jacqueline Smith, Head of Sixth Form no later than Monday, 5th January 2016.
Please write a letter of application (500 words maximum) as an expression of interest outlining your reasons for application and suitability and send it, together with your last school report to: jacqueline.smith@bisb.hu.
Candidates deemed suitable will be asked for interview and required to take a series of entrance tests in Mathematics, Hungarian and English on Saturday 30th January 2016.
The deadline for receipt of applications is 12 noon on Monday, 5th January 2016.
