Our community relished the opportunity to lounge on a deckchair and listen to live music, have photos taken with Her Majesty and the corgis, chance their luck on the tombola or bounce on a huge, inflated slide! There was something for everyone including competing against a world-renowned chess champion, entering a cupcake competition, or just enjoying the tasty food on offer. I would like to thank all the staff involved in making this event so successful. The PTA were our heroes once again as their stall providing strawberries and cream was an enormous success.
Today, I was filled with admiration and pride as I attended the opening of our TBS Warsaw Model United Nations. Our Year 12 students, Sandra (Year 13) and Sonia (Year 11), have been busy organizing this event for many weeks and have managed to attract over 120 delegates, from schools here in Poland and beyond. The guest speaker, Lloyd Brodrick, Australian Ambassador in Poland, outlined his role and gave some excellent tips on how to gain favourable outcomes during debates. Max and Sandra, two of our organisers spoke eloquently about their experiences at MUN conferences and the importance of partaking in such events. Finally, Dr. Latkowski reminded our delegates that this is our 10th MUN hosted by TBS Warsaw and expressed his delight at being able to hold this event following 2 years of COVID restrictions. I look forward to seeing how this event unfolds over the 3 days.
This week, our primary and EYFS sports days have been well attended and the students really enjoyed the variety of activities. Congratulations to the PE department for their excellent organization and to the students who really showed good sportsmanship and effort. Secondary Sports Days will follow next week.
