TBS WARSAW’S ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

TBS Warsaw is an inclusive and academically ambitious school, which is home to a vibrant community of students from around the world.

We offer year-round placements for students aged 2.5 to 18, through an admissions process that’s simple, fast, and tailored to your family’s needs and schedule.

There are a few factors we take into consideration, including your application form, previous school reports, year-group availability and, for older children, academic ability. We’re careful to ensure anyone applying will thrive in our international environment and benefit from the education we offer.

SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION

You’re welcome to apply for a place at TBS Warsaw at any time during the year. We consider applications for all year groups, subject to place availability. Because IGCSE and IB Diploma courses run over two years, we don’t normally admit students in Year 11 or 13. Exceptions may be made, however, for those transferring from other IGCSE or International Baccalaureate schools, if the applicant’s subject choices match those we offer.

We consider applications from students who need additional support, including those with SEN (Special Educational Needs) and EAL (English as an Additional Language) requirements. We work with our families to identify these during the application process. All students applying to join us in Primary and Secondary will need to provide their most recent school reports, alongside our online application form.

ASSESSMENT AND INTERVIEW

Once we’ve received your application form and documents, we’ll invite your child to an assessment and/or interview.
  • Early Years: Families are invited to a meeting with our Head of the Early Years Campus. There is no formal assessment.
  • Primary (Year 2-6): All families and students are invited to an interview with our Head of Primary/Deputy Head. There is no formal assessment.
  • Secondary (Year 7-8): All students complete a cognitive ability test (CAT4) and attend an interview with a member of the Secondary academic team.
  • Secondary (Year 9-10) All students complete a cognitive ability test (CAT4) and attend an interview with a member of our Secondary academic team. For some students, additional testing is required.
  • Secondary (Year 12): All students will complete a cognitive ability test (CAT4) and attend an interview with a member of our Secondary academic team. This reviews their suitability for the IB course and offers the chance to discuss subject choices. For some students, additional language assessment may be required.

OFFERING YOU A PLACE

We aim to process applications within two weeks of receiving documents and test data (if applicable). We’ll share the outcome with you within this timeframe. If your child is offered a place, you’ll need to respond to our letter and formally accept.

If we don’t have a place available but your child meets our entry criteria, we’ll offer them a place on our waiting list.
