The children had lots of fun on Superhero Day earlier this week! They came to school dressed as their favourite superhero and shared with each other what their superpower was. They took part in some activities to develop their understanding of our superhero 'super learning powers' that we promote in school.
In Reception, the children focus on being a Communicator, Collaborator, Thinker and Resilient. They took part in superhero training and solved sudoku-style logic puzzles (thinker), learned to tie a bow (resilient), learned to sign in Makaton (communicator) and played a hoop game in teams (collaborator). They also enjoyed a visit from Year 6 students, who had prepared some activities for the children. It was great to see the children's confidence trying new activities and perseverance faced with a challenge!
