Many of the year fives have particularly useful talents, for example, some students are extraordinarily talented in competitive sports.

Many of the students are very enthusiastic about learning; some will use their skills in their future profession to help them carve out their future careers. Among the Year Fives there are young artists some of whom wish to become architects which involves drawing. When interviewed the students said, their favorite subjects are maths, PE, and IPC.

Many of the Year Fives have talents that can help them in their future. This week they have been focusing on fractions in mathematics. Some students have been finding the math assignments too difficult but on the other hand some also found the assignments are too easy. 17% of students think that mathematics is the best subject and should be worked on more often.

This week in IPC, year 5’s has been investigating dinosaurs, fossils, and DNA. They have been learning to research the evolution from sea to land to where we are today. A boy from Jupiter Class stated that Out of Africa (an IPC subject that they are learning at this moment) was the most informative and interesting subject.

This week Year 5’s will hopefully start reading a book named Clockwork, by Philip Pullman. They have also been making power points to represent their home country. “The coding skills are developing incredibly” said Mrs. Williams, Teacher and boss of Saturn class.

Year 5 are incredibly good at being collaborators and communicators and have adapted to using V.I.P.E.R.S in their regular English and guided reading work. Year 5’s this week have been incredibly good in adapting back to the regular ways away from online.

To conclude, everyone has their own talent, some of them have unique talent too, and a lot of them really like IPC topics, and really enjoy them. They cannot wait to learn more through the IPC!
