High School was bustling with excitement as Year 6 began their transition activities in preparation for Year 7. Also, this week we have information on Parking, ECAs, and the PTG. Learn more here...
It has been a very busy but enjoyable week having all year groups back in school. There was a great atmosphere throughout the week at both the Primary School and High School.
For the start of this week there was certainly a huge amount of excitement in Year 6 as they came over to High School for the start of their transition activities. This will allow students in Year 6 to get to know the High School and its teachers better. The activities will highlight all the fantastic opportunities that await when they move on to Year 7 after graduating from our Primary School at the end of this academic year.
A huge thank you to everyone for continuing to take ATK tests on Sunday night / Monday morning and Tuesday night / Wednesday morning and completing their results on the Health App. So that it is clear that everyone entering the school has tested negative, Primary students have been bringing their actual test results to school, while High School students have been showing a photo of their named and dated results on their phones.
Please remember that if your child or anyone in your family has a high temperature or slight fever along with a sore throat and possibly runny nose and cough, please use the ATK tests to check they do not have COVID infection and keep your children off school until the symptoms are no longer present. We realise that these symptoms are similar for the common cold and influenza A but it is better under the present condition if anyone has any of these symptoms please keep them at home and keep us informed so we can support your family.
This coming week we very much look forward to having everyone stay a bit longer after school to participate in the sports and extracurricular activities programme. It is obvious that our young people really enjoy taking part in a very wide range of activities which really broadens their experiences at school.
Last week Mr. Roo, Mr. Geoff and myself met with the current Chair of the PTG, Mr Deepak Rishi. Everyone recognizes how important it is that the school remains a safe COVID free environment, but it is also important to conduct as many normal school activities as possible. We hope that by working closely with the PTG and the wider school community, we can put on an increased number of events which give parents the opportunity to play a regular part in festivals and other on-campus activities. We also look to organise important sessions like PTG Coffee Morning and parent workshops covering a range of key issues families and their children have been facing during this pandemic.
Over the last few weeks more cars have been parking in Soi 20 and several of the families living in this area have complained that their drives have been blocked by cars. The only families using the gate on Soi 20 should be those who come to school on the shuttle bus or live in the area of Soi 20. Please do not park on these streets as the local police have informed us that they will be locking the wheels of cars found parked in this area.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in this matter.
The Nord Anglia Education (NAE) Parents Satisfaction Survey was sent to parents at the end of Term 1. There is a wide range of areas where NAE requests your feedback on how our school is managing the education of your children.
The survey is organised and run by an external provider to NAE, so all your answers, comments and information you provide are anonymous. The information is analysed by the survey organiser and then provided to NAE Central and Regional Teams before being presented back to schools as a tool to guide and focus action plans on how to improve.
So far we have had a very low response rate and it would be greatly appreciated if families could spare 10-15 minutes to complete this survey. It is a great way of feeding back to NAE about what you feel about our School and how we can improve in any areas where you feel this is necessary. I would really appreciate it if you could find the time to complete this survey
