Upon hearing of the devastating floods in the northern regions of Thailand during the months of September and October this year, our entire community at St Andrews International School Bangkok came together with the goal of providing meaningful help to the victims. Launching our flood relief fundraising campaign across both the Primary and High School campuses, we were amazed to see how sincere and eager our students, teachers, parents, and staff were to support this cause. In the span of a few short weeks, we managed to raise a remarkable total of 386,676.50 THB in donation funds!
A collective effort
This remarkable achievement was made possible through a variety of initiatives designed to engage and inspire our community. From our vibrant Food and Music Festival to the creative One-Pen project, along with digital donations and a spirited Non-Uniform Day—every effort, no matter how big or small, contributed to our final total. We are proud and grateful to announce that all funds raised have been sent to Rutraj Wittaya School in Mae Fah Luang, Chiang Rai. These donations will support classroom repairs and essential school supplies for students who have been affected by the floods.
Heartfelt gratitude to our STA community
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to all members of our community who took part in our flood relief efforts. To every student who participated, to all teachers who guided and supported our initiatives, and to every parent and family member who contributed—thank you!
What we’ve achieved in a few short weeks truly shows the strength and spirit of St Andrews Bangkok. Your kindness and generosity have made a significant impact on the families affected by the floods. Together, we have shown how powerful our community can be when united for a worthy cause.
Voices from our student community
Our students' experiences highlight the spirit of giving and community that made this fundraising campaign special, as well as learning:
We think it was a success though we might make something more snackable and have other snacks as well.

We are happy to lend a helping hand and save lives also, to be a part of this journey. We hope you are safe.
— Jeanda, Linda, Pojai and An An (Year 7)
We think it was fun and successful to sell the fruits although we didn’t receive a lot of money.

— Ming, Prompt, Lira and Chom (Year 7)
Shaved ice charity was a meaningful experience. I felt genuinely satisfied knowing that my participation helped raise money for students at the Chiang Rai school. Taking part in this fundraiser showed me how even small efforts can make a real difference in others' lives.
— Pimdao, Phoo Phoo, Kirpa, Hanna, Nareesha, DD, TiTi, Alice and Anvir (Year 11)
Selling Thai Tea with Boba to raise money to help with flooding victims was very successful! We sold out our drinks within the first few minutes of break and everyone seemed to love it! It was amazing to see the STA community coming together and supporting all the stalls, working together to help flooding victims, whilst we were gaining experiences and memories of our own!
— Ayesha and Pim (Year 11)
Our students’ resilience and compassion are an inspiration to us all. As we send our support to Rutraj Wittaya School, we are proud of the sense of responsibility they’ve shown, and the understanding of the impact their actions can have on he world around them. Well done, all!
