Exceptional learning experiences

Every day at St Andrews is packed with exciting opportunities, which will transform your child’s educational experience. Our inclusive environment is the perfect place to try new things, too.

Our thriving extra-curricular activity programme is an integral part of school life. With more than 150 clubs and activities to choose from, we offer the most expansive range of enrichment opportunities in Bangkok. From Minecraft to musical theatre, science to scrabble, and tennis to Thai, there really is something for everyone.

Here, more than 75% of our students take part in at least two after-school activities each week, honing their skills and discovering new hobbies. Really importantly, all our clubs are open to everyone, from beginner to advanced.

Every year, our students get involved in large-scale sports, music, and VEX Robotics competitions, as well as Model United Nations events. Local, national, and international trips, including life-changing Nord Anglia expeditions to Tanzania and Switzerland, open our students’ eyes to the wonders of the world and develop their confidence, resilience, and determination.

Our expert team of therapists, counsellors, and learning specialists are on hand to care for your child. From helping our students to cope with the pressures of university admissions to safely navigating the world social media, our school-wide focus on wellbeing helps our students to look after themselves and others.

Our subject specialists are among the best in the world. They’re truly passionate about their field of expertise, too. Your child will learn from internationally acclaimed musicians and former Olympians who reimagine teaching in exhilarating ways.

We’re proud to be a fully inclusive school that considers, cares for, and supports a broad spectrum of students. Our ELKLAN-certified teachers, for example, help students with speech, language, and communication challenges, giving them the confidence and skills to express themselves, engage in learning, and build strong friendships.

To create an environment where every student succeeds, we set exceptionally high standards. Our teachers never stop learning, and on the award-winning Nord Anglia University platform, they share ideas, study for further qualifications, and benefit from expert peer-to-peer support. At St Andrews, we’ll inspire your child to achieve more than they ever imagined possible.

On every step of their learning journey – from our Early Years Foundation Stage through primary, IGCSEs, and the IBDP – your child will enjoy a bespoke education that feeds their curiosity and is built around their unique needs, skills, and interests.

This includes the widest choice of subjects in Thailand, with 34 options at IGCSE and 35 at IBDP. From specialising in the arts, PE, or STEAM, to traditional courses like science, maths, and languages, your child will have complete control over how and what they learn. We also offer BTEC programmes to students in Years 7-13.

Whichever pathways they choose, your child will benefit from an incredible array of learning experiences. Innovation flourishes through our exclusive STEAM collaboration with MIT and performing arts partnership with The Juilliard School, while day trips, global expeditions, and international competitions will expand their worldview and bring classroom learning to life.

We live and breathe inclusivity here, and our approach ensures that every individual succeeds. It also guarantees we thrive as a collective. Our IBDP class of 2022 received 85 offers from the world’s top 100 universities, with 75% of students getting into their first-choice higher education institution.

We’ve held prestigious British Schools Overseas accreditation for 10 years, which is a testament to our school’s outstanding educational standards. We’re also accredited by the UK-based Education Development Trust (EDT) and INSET, and hold the EDT International Schools Quality Mark (ISQM).

 Our social purpose

Every student takes part in life-changing outreach, social responsibility, and environmental activities, which have a genuine impact on how they see the world – and make a tangible difference in our community.

As a school, we have an authentic passion for protecting what’s important. Our dedicated Sustainability Coordinators drive our Environmental Review and Action Plan, which challenges students to find creative solutions to pressing challenges. Our students researched and campaigned for ‘meat-free Mondays’. They also help to reduce waste by donating leftover food to a sustainable fish farm and organise city-wide eco-conferences, developing vital teamwork and leadership skills.

As part of our commitment to conservation, students who have a PADI diving certification (we offer the option to every child aged 10 and over) can take part in our coral reef clean-ups. This inspires a lifelong connection to the marine environment.

In 2022, we received the prestigious Eco-School Green Flag Award from the National Wildlife Federation. Our commitment to sustainability was also recognised at the 2020 International School Awards, where we won the Environmental Initiative Award for our groundbreaking EcoBeasts project.

And through our exclusive collaboration with UNICEF, your child will explore global issues – including the UN Rights of the Child and the Sustainable Development Goals – by taking part in debates, joining the Model United Nations, and going on international trips, where they’ll share their ideas on the world stage.

Home to children, families, and teachers from more than 60 countries, St Andrews is a warm and inclusive international environment where everyone is supported to succeed.

Our house system is the beating heart of our school culture, and our students wear their colours with pride. At primary school, each house is represented by an endangered species, inspiring our students to raise money and awareness to preserve their animal’s habitat. At high school, Fun Fridays and friendly competitions create a strong community spirit that spans the age groups.

It's not just our students who love being at St Andrews; our parents do, too. Our Parent Teacher Group (PTG) leads the way, organising charitable initiatives, International Day events, and group activities, including fitness sessions, swimming, and Thai lessons. Our PTG warmly welcomes new families into our school, too.

Our online learning portal, Moodle, will give you an exciting window into your child’s learning journey. You'll keep up with their academic and extra-curricular progress, see photos and videos of their achievements, and get a snapshot into daily life at our school.

With a prime location in Bangkok city centre, our imaginatively designed primary and high school campuses are safe, modern, and stimulating settings that host spectacular, technology-enriched learning.

Conveniently situated in a vibrant area of Bangkok city centre, our two campuses – one for early years and primary children, the other for our secondary students – are secure, inspiring, and exciting learning environments.

Our primary campus is a natural oasis in the heart of our bustling city, with manicured gardens, an artificial sports pitch, colourful playgrounds, and attractive colonial-style buildings. From Foundation Stage 1 through to Key Stage 1 and 2, our children explore, discover, and play, guided by our outstanding teachers.

Within walking distance of the Ekkamai BTS Station, our High School Campus is home to state-of-the-art spaces – including design technology labs, a fitness and yoga centre, and a 260-seat theatre – that reimagine how and what our students learn.

Both campuses host truly 21st century learning experiences. Our Apple classroom is equipped with digital keyboards and computers, enabling our students to compose, produce, and edit music. And through our partnership with VEX Robotics, students design, construct, and programme – creating things like games controllers from scratch – before going on to compete at regional and national competitions.

St Andrews is also the official host of VEX Robotics competitions in Thailand, which demonstrates our commitment to innovation in education technology, as well as our exceptional facilities.

Physics students from St Andrews Bangkok made quite an impression at the Beamline for Schools (BL4S) competition and won the Best Outreach Award for their brilliant work. BL4S is a prestigious global physics contest organised by CERN (the European Laboratory for Particle Physics in Geneva, Switzerland) and DESY (the German Electron Synchrotron in Hamburg, Germany), inviting High School students worldwide to propose detailed experiments to be conducted at a particle accelerator beamline. While our students did not win the main prize of conducting their experiment in Geneva, they still stood out and were recognised from an entry of over 400 teams.
