Five reasons why our IGCSE programme is the right choice for your child When it comes to the IGCSE curriculum, one size does not fit all, and we are not your traditional international school. As contemporary inclusive educators, we understand that no one child is the same, and we all have different strengths as individuals. Learn more about how our inclusive IGCSE model supports every child to be the best they can be!

As contemporary inclusive educators, we understand that no one child is the same, and we all have different strengths as individuals. Learn more about how our inclusive IGCSE model supports every child to be the best they can be! The IGCSE is a world-renowned two-year international programme studied in Years 10 and 11 (Ages 14-16). Students who take on an IGCSE subject will benefit from an IGCSE qualification. These are recognised by universities globally and can even support your child with their future job applications.

How do the IGCSE option blocks work for Years 10 and 11?

Our purpose-built IGCSE programme is meticulously created to be adapted for your child by your child. Our curriculum options evolve every year according to what our students want to study. We survey and ask our students to choose from an extensive range of 30+ subjects. We then build a curriculum around their selected pathways. We call this personalised selection process the 'Student Chosen Pathway (SCP)'. This enables your child to study what interests them most and provides more opportunities that they would not find anywhere else.

Below are the five reasons why our inclusive IGCSE programme is suitable for all learners and how it allows all our students to become their best.

1) A curriculum based on your child's favourite subjects

The 'Student Chosen Pathway' allows our IGCSE students to avoid compromising their choices. At this stage, some international schools are not flexible and reduce the choice available by making certain subjects mandatory. For example, making three sciences and a Modern Foreign Language compulsory, having to take a humanities subject or a US-based system where students generally take all the traditional subjects.

We recognise this may not be to everyone's academic strengths, so we do not make these subjects or subject areas compulsory. We offer all of these subjects if your child wants to pursue them as their options. But as these subjects are not mandatory at this stage, our pupils have more control and choice over what they would like to study.

2) We offer the most extensive subject choices in Thailand

A crucial part of our inclusive school mission is to nourish the strengths and meet the needs of every one of our students. We have lived up to this message for nearly 25 years. Our personalised High School programme has grown immensely throughout this time as we now offer one of the most extensive range of subject choices in Thailand.

3) Our philosophy

We understand that no one student is the same, and we all have different strengths as individuals. Curriculum flexibility and choice allows us to meet the needs and demands of all our students' strengths. Ultimately, students can sharpen their individual skills in their selected options (favourite subjects) and apply them in their other subjects. This creates a stimulating learning environment for our students to enjoy their learning and chosen pathway.

4) Extensive range of specialist subjects

We incorporate and offer specialist subject options throughout our High School curriculum from Year 7 to 13. This includes a range of BTECs, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Physical Education, Design Technology, Performing Arts with Juilliard, Computer Science, First-Language Programmes, Photography, Drama, and STEAM options enhanced by our collaboration with MIT.

We believe that offering an extensive range of captivating options across various topics will engross your child in their own learning. Handing control over to our pupils to find their passion gives rise to a curiosity to learn and engage to the fullest. Moreover, these specialist subjects act as a helping hand to our students in answering those difficult questions of what they may want to pursue in the future.

5) Outstanding results

We know that each student defines success differently and that every student has the right to learn in a supportive environment. We are proud of all our results as we are a school that views success as a reflection of a student's potential and willingness to be their personal best. If a student wants to take on the challenge, we will support them every step of the way.
