The British Ambassador, H.E. Mr Brian Davidson hosted a dinner at his residence in celebration of St Andrews International School Bangkok winning the 2020 International School of the Year Award.
Among many dignitaries, we were honoured to have been joined by Thailand's Minister of Education, H.E. Mr Nataphol Teepsuwan and numerous inspirational educators from prestigious universities and schools in Thailand. Also present were some of our key partners.
Education in Thailand and across the region was a key topic of conversation throughout the evening with speeches made from the British Ambassador and Mr Paul our Head of School.
We would like to thank the British Ambassador for his hospitality, welcoming our St Andrews leaders into his residence and hosting such a special event.
We are proud to be recognised as the 2020 International School of the Year by the British Ambassador and special guests. These awards were hosted in London by ISC research and had 255 separate nominations from International Schools in over 40 countries. It’s a globally competitive awards ceremony that celebrates an array of topics including innovative ideas in teaching, learning and community. This award would not have been won without the passion and hard work from our students and school community who ultimately make St Andrews so special.
As part of the St Andrews Careers programme, Year 10 and Year 12 students had the valuable opportunity to hear from 20 industry professionals, including alumni, about various career pathways. The morning panel discussions provided insights into professional routes, required qualifications, and essential interpersonal skills for workplace success.
As Term 3 comes to an end, three senior students, Eleonore, Natalie, and Ananya, reflect on their experiences in the IB Diploma Programme at St Andrews International School Bangkok. Perhaps one of the most meaningful projects Ananya and Natalie took on during their senior studies was starting a foundation with a few other friends called Today4tomorrow – an initiative to provide opportunities to underprivileged girls in Thailand.
Congratulations to St Andrews senior student Natalie, who received an offer at the University of Bath to pursue a degree in Psychology. Have a read to learn more about Natalie’s perspective on the IB Diploma Programme and the endless possibilities that await her exploration.
Congratulations to senior student Ananya, who received an offer at University College London to pursue a degree in Politics and International Relations. We discussed her experience during the IB Diploma Programme at St Andrews and her ideas and aspirations for the future. Read on!
