Our U15 FOBISIA team returned from a very competitive event in Phuket last week.
The main event last week was the U15 FOBISIA games that we have been preparing for since August, thank you all for all of your support in making the U15 FOBISIA Games another great success for STA. It was a very competitive competition and we came away giving it our all and learning many lessons.
As a community, we can all be very proud of the young people who represented us and most importantly themselves in a very positive way. This was a product of the hard work and team effort from the players, parents, coaches and staff both at and prior to the event!
I'm sure we will all hear or share stories of standout team and individual performances. As with any sporting competition, there were both ups and downs throughout the week and I hope everybody has learnt positive life lessons from these experiences. Please use them to continue focusing on the development of all members of our community, with the long term goal of making progress and enjoying sport in mind
For those interested in seeing personal performances and using these as benchmarks for measuring progress, you can find results here. We will also review these over the next few days to see we how we as a coaching team can learn and adapt to better serve and have a greater positive impact on our young people!
The final St Andrews International School Bangkok results in competition order were as follows:
Swimming - 6th Place
Athletics - 5th Place
Girls Football - 2nd Place
Boys Basketball - 4th Place
Boys Football - 2nd Place
Girls Basketball - 1st Place
We now move on to planning for our U13 FOBISIA games and you will receive communication soon.
As our fixtures move very quickly and we’re now beginning season 2, we keep our community with our BISAC Fixtures & Results here.
We also use our STA HS fixtures calendar to keep our community updated, this includes other fixtures, friendlies and events. As we work with so many schools we often have changes to these fixtures, so please add this calendar or refer to Moodle for the most up to date information.
Please stay up-to-date by joining our STA Flames & Marlins Facebook group for parents and students who are part of our Sport Programme.
Parents may post to this group and it’s been great to see some of your photos of our kids in action!
With the goal of providing meaningful help to the flood victims in the northern regions of Thailand, our entire community at St Andrews Bangkok came together to raise funds and donations for the affected families. In the span of a few short weeks, added to donations of food and clothing, we managed to raise an astounding total of 386,676.50 THB in donation funds. To all students, teachers, parents, and staff who participated in our efforts and contributed to this cause—thank you!
