St. Andrews International School Bangkok is hosting our first ever TEDx event. TEDx allows people to enjoy a TED-like experience at an individually organised gathering of thought provoking speakers. In response to the rapid development taking place around the world, our student committee has chosen the theme “A Step in a New Direction”.
TEDx was created in the spirit of TED's mission: "ideas worth spreading." The program is designed to give communities, organisations and individuals the opportunity to unleash new ideas and inspire conversation through local TED-like experiences.
Interested in attending? STA invites teachers, parents and talented speakers of any and all ages to attend on Sunday 20th of November from 13:00 until 17:30. For further information and event updates, please follow us at Tedxyouth@STA on Facebook. To book your seat at the event, please email tedxyouth2016@standrews.ac.th.
Have an idea worth spreading? Speak at TEDxYouth! We have space for 14 short talks, each lasting between five and ten minutes. Each speaker may respond to the theme in any way that engages, surprises or inspires. If you or someone you know is interested in speaking, please email tedxyouth2016@standrews.ac.th.
As part of the St Andrews Careers programme, Year 10 and Year 12 students had the valuable opportunity to hear from 20 industry professionals, including alumni, about various career pathways. The morning panel discussions provided insights into professional routes, required qualifications, and essential interpersonal skills for workplace success.
As Term 3 comes to an end, three senior students, Eleonore, Natalie, and Ananya, reflect on their experiences in the IB Diploma Programme at St Andrews International School Bangkok. Perhaps one of the most meaningful projects Ananya and Natalie took on during their senior studies was starting a foundation with a few other friends called Today4tomorrow – an initiative to provide opportunities to underprivileged girls in Thailand.
