Learn more about the IBCP

At Swiss International Scientific School Dubai (SISD), we are renowned for our commitment to delivering a multilingual and holistic IB education to students from PreK to Grade 12.

We are excited to be introducing the region’s first BTEC pathway in Sport, Business, and Management from the 2025/2026 academic year. The BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport, Business, and Management, will form part of SISD's IB Career-related Programme (IBCP) pathway, offering students with a passion for sport a more practical, career-focused approach to learning.

The IBCP itself integrates academic study with career-related learning, making it an ideal choice for students who prefer coursework to traditional examinations or who wish to combine their academic interests with real-world applications.

The BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport, Business, and Management, combines the principles of business management with an in-depth exploration of the sports industry, the extended diploma prepares students for a wide range of university courses and career opportunities.

SISD students will also delve into sports psychology, applied anatomy and physiology, and sports performance analysis, among other areas. This breadth of learning equips students with both technical knowledge and essential skills, including critical thinking, leadership and teamwork, ensuring they are well-prepared for their future endeavours.

The programme is supported by SISD’s world-class sports facilities designed to support the holistic development of our students and enhance their sporting ambitions. The campus includes a full-sized FIFA-standard football pitch, multiple indoor and outdoor basketball and tennis courts, and a state-of-the-art gymnasium equipped for a wide range of physical activities. For aquatic sports enthusiasts, the school features a 50-metre Olympic-sized pool, ideal for competitive training and recreational use.

The BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport, Business, and Management is being introduced alongside SISD's existing BTEC in Business Management and Hospitality, which also forms part of the IBCP. Together, these programmes highlight SISD’s commitment to providing a variety of pathways to meet the diverse needs of its students.

The course is currently undergoing the accreditation process and promises a compelling alternative to traditional academic pathways such as A Levels and the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP).
