WHO CAN JOIN? 

SISD is open to children from 3 to 18 years old. We accept boarding students from the age of 11 (Grade 6) upwards.

We’re proud to be one of the most diverse schools in the Middle East. We welcome students of all nationalities and backgrounds and don’t limit our students to specific start times. In fact, your child can join us at any point in the academic year, so long as we have spaces available.

Assessment and interview
Once we’ve received your completed form and documents, we’ll invite your child to sit an age-appropriate admissions assessment. Depending on the grade they’re joining, we may also ask them to an interview. You’ll need to pay a non-refundable application fee of AED 525 before or at the time of the assessment. 
ASSESSMENT AND INTERVIEW 
Offering your child a place
If all goes well, we’ll send you a formal offer letter within five working days of the assessment and/or interview. To secure your child's place, you’ll need to sign and return the offer letter and pay a registration fee within seven days.

Our Tuition Fees

At SISD, we welcome students from all cultures and backgrounds with varying needs and requirements. Our fee structure aims to accommodate all students, whether they wish to attend day school, require full boarding in our state of the art boarding houses, or somewhere between the two.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQS)

  • How long does the admissions process take?  
    Our admissions process can take as little as two to three weeks from start to finish. Timings do vary, though, as each family’s application journey is different. Please speak to our Admissions Team to find out more.
  • Can my child start at any time? 
    Yes, we accept applications all year round. Provided we have a space available, your child can start at any time during the academic year
  • Do you offer boarding? 
    Yes, we offer boarding for 11 to 18-year-olds (Grades 6-13). We have three options: full, weekly, and flexi boarding.  Visit our Boarding Options page for more information.

    Our boarders enjoy an exciting, culturally enriching, and immersive experience. Wellbeing is central our approach, and our experienced on-site boarding team takes the time to get to know each student, ensuring they feel valued, happy and comfortable.
  • What curriculum do you teach? 
    SISD is one of just 50 IB World Schools globally offering the full spectrum of IB programmes. Our students, from ages 3 to 18, follow seamless pathways from the Primary Years Programme (PYP) through to the Middle Years Programme (MYP), IB Diploma (IBDP), and/or the IB Career-related Programme (IBCP). 
  • Is SISD a fully bilingual school? 
    Yes, we are. In the Early Years and Primary, our students learn in either English, French and English, or German and English. In Middle and Secondary, they choose the language for each subject, with the flexibility to change yearly.
