  • How long does your admissions process take?
From the moment you get in touch with us to the offer of a place, our admissions process can take as little as two to three weeks. Timings do vary, though, as each family’s application journey is different. Please speak to our Admissions Team to find out more.
  • Can my child start at any time?
We accept applications all year round and your child can start at any time during the academic year.
  • What curricula do you teach?

SISD is one of just 50 IB World Schools globally, offering the full continuum of IB programmes. From 3 through to 18, our students follow seamless pathways from the Primary Years Programme (PYP) through to the Middle Years Programme (MYP), IB Diploma (IBDP), and/or the IB Career-related Programme (IBCP).

The IB continuum is academically rigorous and respected around the world. Each programme is also packed with character-forming learning experiences that nurture critical thinking, spark creativity, and build resilience. This creates well-rounded individuals who not only achieve fantastic results, but also flourish as people.

  • Is SISD a bilingual school?
Yes, we are. In the Early Years and Primary, our students learn in either English, French and English, or German and English. In Middle and Secondary, they choose the language they want to study in subject-by-subject. We give our learners the flexibility to change this each year, too.
  • Which universities do your students go to?
Our students’ success takes them to the very best universities in the world. Armed with world-leading IB results and an impressive array of IB Learner Profile traits, every SISD graduate receives an average of four offers from the world’s best universities. These include top 100 institutions in France, Switzerland, the UK, and Canada.
  • Do you offer boarding?

Yes, we offer boarding for 11 to 18-year-olds (Grades 6-13). We have three options: full, weekly, and flexi boarding.

Our boarders benefit from an exciting, culturally enriching, and truly immersive experience. Welcomed into our cosmopolitan community, our students grow intellectually, develop their cultural awareness, and make lifelong friends. Boarding with us also means exciting activities, expert academic support, and the very best pastoral care is available every single day.

  • Will my child have a roommate?
Yes, all our students have roommates, which are selected based on gender, age, and interests. This helps our boarders to form firm friendships and creates a sense of community.
  • What will my child eat?
Our boarders enjoy healthy breakfasts, lunches, and dinners every day. The menu is developed in conjunction with our students and rotates every four weeks. We can also cater to a range of dietary requirements.
  • What activities will my child take part in?

Living at the best boarding school in Dubai means that an extensive range of exciting, character-building activities are available every day.

Weekend trips include days out at the beach, theme parks, and malls, as well as a myriad of cultural experiences across the UAE. These range from culinary courses and boat trips around Dubai Old Town to hiking in the mountains. Your child can enjoy unique activities every evening, too, which are carefully structured around study time and opportunities to relax, play games, and watch films with friends.

  • Will my child get homesick?
We know that every child is likely to miss their family at some point. It’s normal to feel homesick, but experience tells us this feeling usually subsides as our students throw themselves into school life. Our boarding team will make sure your child is supported every step of the way.
